COMPETITORS
- Riders and owners of all horses competing at Pre Novice or above must be full members of Equestrian Australia (EA) and must be entered with their EA membership name and EA number. Riders competing in Preliminary & Introductory classes must be associate or full members of EA, and include their EA number on entries or pay National Day Membership. Note: National Membership includes third party property insurance but not comprehensive insurance.
- Horses competing at Pre Novice or above must be registered with EA before being entered for any event and have a current performance card (except Preliminary & Introductory classes). They must be entered in their registered names with their EA number (except Preliminary & Introductory classes).
- Horses must be at least 4 years of age to compete in any One Day Event
- Age of competitors:
- 3 star: Open to any rider in the year of their 18th birthday and over.
- 2 star: Open to any rider in the year of their 16th birthday and over.
- 1 star: Open to any rider in the year of their 14th birthday and over.
- PN: Open to any rider in the year of their 13th birthday and over.
- Prelim: Open to any rider in the year of their 12th birthday and over.
- Intro: Open to any rider in the year of their 11th birthday and over.
- Junior & Young Rider classes: Organising committees may conduct classes for Junior or Young riders at Pre Novice or * level. The horse and rider must both be qualified to compete at that level. Junior classes may also be conducted at Preliminary and Introductory level.
- Riders wishing to be included in junior classes or recognised as juniors in open classes, if no junior classes are offered, must include DOB when entering.
- Riders in Newcomer or Encourager classes not in the year of their 11th birthday must supply written proof of competency by a NCAS level 1 or higher Coach.
- Riders and owners of competing horses and their helpers must, under penalty of elimination, obey any order or direction given to them by any responsible official. They must not do anything liable to upset or hinder the undisturbed progress of the competition.
- Competitors must adhere to the order of starting drawn up by the organisers for every phase, under penalty of elimination.
